Many people love these for indoors and a prized succulent plants in many gardens is Sempervivum/Hens & Chicks. The large one is a Hen and the babies are chicks. These tidy, bright rosettes of foliage are low maintenance plants that can be grown both indoors or outdoors. Many planters put them in both in-ground or in container gardens, and can also make lovely houseplants. They do very well in succulent arrangements. Many of these hens & chicks change colors in high heats and low colds, because of that many of succulents you get might be different color as they change there color based on the season. Many of these can handle FREEZING temperatures ! Even be coved in show and still live.

These are really great indoors or outdoors we suggest getting a few of the types you want if you are looking to add it in a garden or outside.

1. Sempervivum 'Temby'
Sempervivum 'Temby' (Bronow): An elegant cultivar with unique, seasonal color. This rosette tends to show silvery green base tones, but takes on rose, lilac ,and blue tones throughout the year. It's particularly striking in early summer, when its golden leaves are offset with contrasting burgundy tips.

2. Sempervivum arachnoideum 'Cebenese'

3. Sempervivum tectorum 'Sunset'
Sempervivum tectorum 'Sunset' (Payne): Easy to grow red and green rosette. It has an apple green base with strong burgundy tips. It flushes fully red in winter and then produces lots of new offsets each spring. This is a particularly forgiving variety that produces lots of new offsets each spring.

4. Sempervivum 'Kalinda'
Sempervivum 'Kalinda' (Skrocki): Medium-sized rosette with satiny leaves. This cultivar shows a nice range of colors through the seasons including copper, olive, red, and purple. It produces new offsets on long stolons and can develop into a lovely clump.

5. Sempervivum 'Spring Beauty'
Sempervivum 'Spring Beauty': A sweet green rosette that can get a touch of pink blushing on its outer leaves. This variety has light cobweb tufts at its leaf tips and turns a nice pink in winter when most Sempervivum are burgundy.

6. Sempervivum tectorum 'Mettenianum'
Sempervivum tectorum 'Mettenianum': The robust growth habit of S. tectorum but with particularly impressive coloration. This rosette has a silvery green base color but can show warm tones of orange, pink, and red through the seasons. This forgiving grower is a treat to observe throughout the year.

7. Sempervivum globiferum ssp. allionii
Sempervivum globiferum ssp. allionii is a spiky looking lime green rosette that can flush red at its tips. This is a "roller" variety, meaning that it produces lots of round offsets on delicate stolons, that easily roll away from their mother plant to put down roots.

8. Sempervivum ‘Jeanne d’ Arc
Sempervivum ‘Jeanne d’ Arc’ forms rosettes of succulent leaves in shades of fiery red to rich chocolate brown, depending on season and exposure. Displays pink flowers.

9. Sempervivum 'Sassy Frass'
Sempervivum 'Sassy Frass' (Skrocki): A charming, rosy cultivar that brings sunny, golden colors each summer. This rosette has long leaves and a soft green base color. 'Sassy Frass' picks up yellow, orange, and pink tones in response to moderate stress from direct sun and drought. It produces lots of new offsets each year and can develop into an impressive clump.

10. Sempervivum arachnoideum × pittonii
Sempervivum arachnoideum × pittonii: Many leaved, webbed variety. The rosette is a soft green with well-defined, reddish tips to its leaves. It is a small but prolific variety that develops into a dense clump.

11.Sempervivum globiferum ssp. hirtum 'Borealis'
Sempervivum globiferum ssp. hirtum 'Borealis': A spiky, green "roller" variety, meaning that its new, spherical offsets are on delicate stolons and will roll away to root. These rosettes are green with a tinge of orange to burgundy at their tips. This variety stays quite small, but makes up for it in quantity.

12.Sempervivum 'Lennik's Glory'
Sempervivum 'Lennick's Glory' (Van Der Steen): Tawny golden rosette. This variety grows large and produces lots of offsets on extra long, pink stolons.

13.Sempervivum 'Hart 8'
Sempervivum 'Hart 8' (Ford): A bright green rosette backed and tipped with red orange. Orange tips become even more pronounced in summer when grown in bright sunlight. 'Hart 8' has a very striking coloration and its leaves are lined with cilia.

14 Sempervivum ‘Hedgehog’
This monocarpic succulent is one of the “rollers” — succulents whose “chicks” grow on top of the mother plant, and then break off and roll away before rooting. It has long, spiked dark red and green leaves.

This succulent has beautiful red leaves with a bit of neon green in the middle of it. It will also grow beautiful offsets when this succulent grows to full size, giving you extra succulent cuttings. It will also produce red/orange flowers in the spring.
