This is a cultivar known as 'Chocolate Drop', so named for the large oval chocolate brown spine shields along the margins of the 4-angled stems. Spine shields are pinkish-rose when new, turning to chocolate brown with age. Responds well to warmth, with its active growth period in the late spring and summer months.

Euphobia ingens, native to Rhodesia, and Natal, forms a giant candelabra specimen to 30′ in height. The 5-angled dark greens stems have wavy margins, and branch readily to form an arborescent plant that is excellent for landscapes or patio planters. This is a cultivar known as ‘Chocolate Drop’, so named for the large oval chocolate brown spine shields along the margins of the 4-angled stems. Spine shields are pinkish-rose when new, turning to chocolate brown with age. Responds well to warmth, with its active growth period in the late spring and summer months. Porous soil with adequate drainage. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch during active growing season. Requires bright light for best appearance, and should be given a winter resting period at which time less water should be given. Protect from frost. All Euphorbias contain a white sap that can be irritating to eyes and mucous membranes. If contact is made with this white sap, take care to not touch face or eyes before washing hands with soap and water.

Shipped dry bareroot once you get it put it into dry cactus/succulent soil and do not water till about 7 days later and give it part shade/not full heat/sun at 1st progress into it to make sure it is protected from shock that can lead to damage or death.
